With the summer camping season quickly approaching, ReserveAmerica, the United States’ leading recreation reservation service, today (May 22) announced the nation’s seventh annual “Top 100 Family Campgrounds,” a guide to help campers and their families plan camping trips at publicly owned locations across America’s great outdoors.
The list also includes ReserveAmerica’s top publicly owned biking trails, beaches, scenic views, water recreation parks and much more.
“Our seventh annual Top 100 Family Campgrounds list honors outstanding public outdoor recreation facilities that provide a high level of service,” explained Seth Rosenberg, general manager for ActiveOutdoors and ReserveAmerica. “The guide offers a great resource for campers and their families who are looking to plan and reserve a camping trip for this spring or summer.”
To determine the top campgrounds and locations, over 4,000 parks were reviewed and evaluated on criteria including educational programs, overall beauty and scenery, family beaches, visitor centers and camping amenities such as hot showers and laundry facilities. The featured locations were also selected based on testimonials, campground ratings and feedback provided by park rangers, regional park management and campers throughout the year.
Campers can find anything from a weekend retreat to an extended vacation by browsing through more than 300,000 campsites, cabins, day use facilities, and picnic areas at www.ReserveAmerica.com.
