Trailer Life publications has launched its 2011 Trailer Life RV Parks & Campgrounds Directory, 2011 Trailer Life Directory Campground Navigator in DVD format and the new spiral-bound 2011 Trailer Life Directory RV Road Atlas. The collection of resources offers travelers an assortment of indispensable planning tools, according to a news release.
The directory is the official directory of the Good Sam Club, the world’s largest RV owners’ organization, and includes all Good Sam discount locations. The new directory provides expanded listings for more than 11,800 RV parks and 900,000 RV sites, including locations with Internet access, updated campground fees, and other easy-to-use information. New for 2011, the directory also now highlights physical addresses for easy, accurate GPS input, Yellow Page listings for RV services and attractions and a special ‘How-To’ section on buying insurance, extended warranties, RV loans and emergency road services.
The directory’s exclusive Triple Rating System is the industry standard and is trusted by travelers across North America to provide them with accurate, unbiased information. Each year, trained Trailer Life representatives inspect and rate all private parks and campgrounds based on completeness of facilities, visual appeal and other key factors. The thoroughness of the inspection process provides campers and RVers with the assurance that parks will always meet their expectations, whether it’s a first-time visit or if they have been back year after year. Parks are encouraged to update their services and amenities to continue earning the highest scores.
The 2011 Campground Navigator provides RVers with all of the same high-quality information contained in the Trailer Life directory. Now in a new, three-times faster DVD format, the 2011 Campground Navigator software finds the best campgrounds with the amenities that meet travelers’ needs in a user-friendly format. The Radius Search is a new tool for the 2011 edition and helps travelers find services within a user-defined distance of any selected location. RVers can use the Campground Navigator on a PC to plan their next stop or adventure even in remote destinations without Internet access.
“While traveling across more than 7,000 miles in our territory, my wife and I use the Trailer Life Directory Campground Navigator for planning and routing our trips ahead of time,” said Gary Hiser, directory representative. “It provides us with fast and simple, turn-by-turn directions while offering accurate details on the campgrounds we visit. From Western Canada to Virginia, we always rely on the Navigator to take us on the safest and most efficient roads.”
The new RV Road Atlas, now spiral bound, is created by travel experts especially for RVers. The atlas lists all the RV parks and campgrounds found in the Trailer Life Directory, and includes large state maps that clearly identify features such as unpaved roads, steep grades, low bridges, and highlights truck routes, so drivers know where to avoid potential hazards. Campgrounds are listed by city and state or province and include graphic icons to highlight Good Sam Club discount locations, service centers, tourist attractions, parks that can support big rigs and locations that provide Internet access or Wi-Fi.
“We strive to provide RVers and campers with the most updated travel tools to make visiting parks and campgrounds easy and accessible. The Trailer Life directory and new formats of the Campground Navigator and RV Road Atlas help travelers keep up with changes to routes, campgrounds and services,” Joe Daquino, senior vice president and group publisher Affinity Media, the parent company for Trailer Life publications. “The Trailer Life Directory Triple Rating System is truly the Gold Standard in campground ratings, and owners know that a positive score is invaluable to the park’s success. We’re delighted to see so many campgrounds continue to improve the quality of services and amenities they provide.”
