Morgan Corp., a producer of truck bodies, announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Portland, Ore., expanding the company’s number of manufacturing, parts and service centers to 12 nationwide.
“For the first time, Morgan customers throughout the U.S. Northwest Region and Western Canada will have faster access to quality Morgan products, and with the added benefit of lower shipping costs,” said Morgan President Norb Markert in a press release.
The new building is located on five acres of land and incorporates approximately 50,000 square feet of manufacturing, distribution and administrative space.
Markert noted that even though the new facility was initially intended to produce Morgan dry freight products, plans are already under way to expand to other Morgan product lines. “This new facility expands Morgan Corp.’s planned growth into a strategic part of North America, where Morgan products and services are much in demand, and where that demand is anticipated to grow,” he said.
