Leading international battery supplier Trojan Battery Co., in conjunction with its Australian distributor Alco Battery Sales, will be using the World RV Conference 2015 in Melbourne to launch new products to the international marketplace.
According to a press release, Trojan is the second global company to support the event following Dometic Corp. stepping up as presenting partner for the event, which is being hosted by Caravan Industry Association of Australia from Feb. 25-27, 2015.
With registrations opening this month, 175 “expressions of interest” have been received from international delegates since the conference website went live. Twelve delegates from countries such as the United States, Denmark, New Zealand and Australia have already registered taking advantage of heavily discounted early-bird rates.
Caravan Industry Association of Australia CEO Stuart Lamont is excited by the strong demand received to date for what will be the third running of the event.

According to a press release, the event will bring together RV industry leaders from 14 countries – including RV manufacturer, supplier, dealer, campground and trade association representatives — to share market information and statistics, discuss technical issues and standards, and explore how RV companies can work together in an increasingly interconnected world RV market.
Marco Annunziata, chief economist and executive director of Global Market Insight at General Electric Co., will be the event’s keynote speaker at the luncheon on Jan. 18. In his remarks, he will examine how the increasingly complex global economy impacts business trends and markets.
The 2nd World RV Conference will also feature two plenary sessions to provide attendees with reports on established and emerging RV markets throughout the world. The schedule for Jan. 18 includes “Europe” presented by Stephane Cordeille, CEO of Thetford Corp.; “Japan” presented by Keiki INOMATA, a director with the Japan RV Association (JRVA) and executive managing director of Neat RV Co.; and “Australia” presented by Stuart Lamont, CEO of the Caravan, RV and Accommodation Industry of Australia (CRVA).
The sessions on Jan. 19 will feature “China” presented by Ye Shengji, deputy secretary general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM); “South Africa” presented by Keith Laing, managing director of Jurgens Ci and a member of the Leisure Industry Manufacturers Association (LIMA); and “North America” presented by Richard Coon, president of RVIA.
The afternoon of Jan. 18 will feature a series of concurrent workshops focusing on critical topics facing RV executives. With the 2nd World RV Conference, set for Jan. 17 – 20, 2013 in Tampa nearing capacity, the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) is urging interested industry members to register at the standard registration rate of $695 before the late registration pricing begins on Oct. 21.
The late registration fee of $850 will be in effect until Dec. 14 or until maximum capacity for the event is reached, according to a news release.
