RVIA: RV Shipments Pull Back For June; Up YTD

The RV Industry Association’s (RVIA) June survey of manufacturers found RV wholesale shipments finished at 41,990, a decrease of 11.4% from the 47,416 units shipped last June.

All towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, totaled 37,784 units for the month, representing a 10.5% decrease compared to last June’s towable RV shipment total of 42,240. Motorhomes ended June with 4,206 shipments to retailers, down 18.7% compared to last June’s total of 5,176.

Year-to-date wholesale shipments are currently at 271,588, up 5.9%, compared to this point last year. Towable RVs are up 6.6% to 238,502 units while motorhome shipments rose 0.9% to 33,086 units.

Park model RVs ended the month with 287 wholesale shipments, down 27.5% compared to last June. Year-to-date, park model RVs are down 5.3% compared to this point last year with 2,112 shipments.
