Anchoring the first half of this year’s breakfast, which typically draws a sellout crowd of close to a thousand civic and business leaders, will be first-term Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb, who previously served as lieutenant governor under former governor and current U.S. Vice President Mike Pence

Holcomb, who addressed the Power Breakfast in 2017, has won favor among Indiana voters for his support of bills funding roads infrastructure, job training and pre-K programs for low-income Hoosier kids.

Holcomb has also worked closely with elected state officials in conjunction with Ron Breymier, executive director of the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association/Recreation Vehicle Indiana Council (IMHA-RVIC), to pass RV-friendly state legislation.

The other breakfast keynote speaker is Peter Morici, a nationally known economist from the University of Maryland and a frequent contributor to MarketWatch, The Wall Street Journal, Fox News and CNN whose appearance is sponsored by Well Fargo CDF. A recognized expert on economic policy and international economics, Morici is a talented speaker with a flair for national politics.

With Congress in session May 9, U.S. Rep. Walorski will greet the crowd via video.

Among the RV industry leaders stepping up to the podium on the northeast side of Elkhart will be Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) President Phil Ingrassia in addition to RV Industry Association (RVIA) Chairman Garry Enyart and President Frank Hugelmeyer, who is expected to present market data and updates on the 2019 launch of the Elkhart-based RV Technical Institute (RVTI).

In addition, he is expected to introduce new RVTI Executive Director Curtis Hemmeler while recently promoted Kampgrounds of America Inc. CEO Toby O’Rourke will share updated data from the Billings, Mont.-based campground franchisor’s 2019 North American Camping Report.

“Updates on the event with regard to the program, speakers and attendee registration will follow on RVB’s Breaking News postings,” said BJ Thompson, the former long-term chair of RVIA’s Public Relations Committee who serves on the ad hoc Power Breakfast organizing committee. “But for now, we just wanted to give everyone a heads-up to put March 25 on their calendar for breakfast registration and to remember how quickly those breakfast seats sell out every year.”

Breakfast tickets may be purchased ($45 single, $360 for a table of 8) starting March 25 by clicking on the Power Breakfast banner on the RVBUSINESS.com home page that will be posted by March 25.

The event is facilitated by RVBusiness magazine and co-sponsored by Airxcel, Cummins Inc., Dometic, Forest River Inc., KOA, RVIA, Thor Industries Inc., Spartan Motors Inc., Wells Fargo CDF and Winnebago Industries Inc.
